SAME LOVE BY NICOLAS KANZA
We follow the protagonist into an alternate universe where internalized racism is merely a distant dream and where the same love that lives within us all will overcome our differences.
Filmed in the small town where artist Nicolas Kanza grew up, the video tells a personal story in which the protagonist is kept small and conditioned by the same town that he had called home for so long. Referring to the recent sequence of racial injustices that took place in America at that time, the artist chose to include a character that mirrors one of the victims of these tragedies by putting the focus on their essence through imagery, making them a key element in this story. It shows a distant yet universal story that is connected by the same underlying racial-issues the protagonist has been facing all his life.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families.
